It’s been an exciting time as we are now in the 8th week of running our new Sherborne office away from home in London. Already we are putting down roots, getting settled in and meeting the locals on Cheap Street. Two of the sales we have already agreed are particularly indicative of why sellers should look to Rolfe East, the local independent experts.
The first, a farm in Castle Cary, had been on the market for three years with two other agents, one of which was international, the other was agricultural. The owner chose us due to our enthusiasm and eagerness to finalise a deal for them. Within 4 weeks of being instructed, a deal has been made (subject to contract) to a cash, no chain buyer. We put this down to our proactive 24/7 approach, and our direct link to London buyers who are seeking attractive relocation opportunities through our offices.
Another rural property, a cottage in West Coker, had been on the market with a ‘high end’ agent for 9 months prior to our involvement. A sale was agreed with a no-chain buyer just 4 days of us bringing it to market. This sale was achieved through simple proactivity; we have buyers who we know are ready and looking for the perfect property, and when we find it, we call them, we don’t wait for the call!
There is more growth in the office as we have just recruited an additional Negotiator. Also, Laurence, Managing Director of the Sherborne office, suffering separation issues with his dog, Monty, has managed to recruit the four-legged fellow to the team. As mascot, Monty has clearly made a big impact to the morale of the team, and is no doubt largely responsible for the sales above.
