Briefly, Investors in People (IIP) provides a best practice people management standard, offering accreditation to organisations that adhere to the demanding Investors in People framework.
IIP was formed in 1991 by the UK Government to help organisations to get the very best from their people. It is managed nationally by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills and is supported by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Over the 24 years since its birth it has grown enormously due to its value to organisations and now spans 75 countries.
Only those organisations that demonstrate the necessary high standard are able to achieve Investors In People accreditation, which can only be met through a rigorous and objective assessment in order to determine performance.
This is why I am delighted to announce that, once again, Rolfe East has attained the highest level of 37 out of 37 points in order to capture and maintain our accreditation.
I am chuffed because it clearly shows that we are doing something right in how we train and treat our staff, how much we value them, and that we take the estate agents qualifications and membership of associations very seriously.
It is vital to invest in your staff; if you fail to do so then how can you expect them in return to look after your customers to the same high level?
I strongly believe that creating a solid culture of treating your people properly directly translates into happy and impressed clients. The IIP award is another example of how we are putting things in place, consistently over time, in order to build an excellent reputation as an agent. These things do take effort, integrity and patience to get it right. It can never be done by taking quick-fix options or short cuts; and you don’t receive a nicely framed certificate to hang on the wall either!
